AccommodatioN OPTIONS
A variety of accommodation options are available to you. some lodging types fill more quickly than others and it is advisable to sign up as early as possible. You may request a particular bed configuration or location on property, and we will do our absolute best to meet these requests but cannot guarantee that your preferences can be accommodated.
SLEEPING BAg accommodations
Description: Certain meeting rooms are used as shared sleeping bag space and are available to attendees. Should you choose sleeping bag accommodations, you are responsible for your own sleeping bag, blankets, pads, pillows, etc. Esalen provides towels and face cloths. Be aware that sleeping bag accommodations are coed, and several people may share a relatively small space. You may want to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper or bothered by the sleep sounds of others. Some rooms do not include a shower, though shower facilities are available at the baths.
Sleeping bag rooms are inaccessible as personal space between 9am and 11pm, when the room may be used for Esalen activities both scheduled and unscheduled. Access to the room is not permitted while these activities are in process and you may be asked to remove your belongings from the room during the public use hours. While there is shared storage space outside of the meeting room, you may wish to keep your belongings locked inside your vehicle. Cost: $1,205.00 $1,705.00
BUNK BEd accommodations
Description: Bunk bed accommodations are available to participants willing to share a room and bathroom with four to six people of the same gender. Bath towels and bed linens are provided, although you will need to make your bed upon arrival. There are no hair dryers or other toiletries in the rooms, but most necessities can be purchased in the bookstore.

Standard accommodations
Description: Standard rooms accommodate either two or three people. If you are booking as a single participant, you will be housed with others of the same gender. Couples or friends booking standard accommodations together will be housed privately, without a stranger in the room. Most of our standard accommodations have an in-room bathroom with shower, although in a few cases there is a shared bathroom in the hall. Most beds are either double or twin-size, with very few queen-size beds available. Towels, bath soap and bed linens are provided, though you will need to make your bed upon arrival. There are no hair dryers or other toiletries in the rooms, though most necessities can be purchased in the bookstore.
Single housing in a standard room (i.e. a private standard) may be requested at the time of your reservation, but is not guaranteed unless confirmed via email. please be prepared to share the room in the event we cannot provide you with a private standard. If available, the cost for a private standard accommodation is an additional $125 per night.

Premium Room accommodations
Description: Premium Rooms offer greater privacy, upgraded bathrooms, and enhanced sound and climate insulation. You can request either ocean view or internet (ethernet cable provided) with in-room phone, although not all rooms offer both.

Point House accommodations
Description: POint houses are private suites nestled behind the Esalen Garden and perched at the cliff's edge with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Each of the three Point Houses offers a living room with wood stove, a master bedroom, a sleeping loft with double-size mattress, full kitchen and dining area, private redwood deck overlooking the Pacific with outdoor clawfoot tub, Internet connections, and in-room telephone. Own Accommodations (Off-Site)
Description: Guests who wish to attend the summit and arrange their lodging elsewhere can reserve under the Off-Site Accommodation reservation type and still have full access to the Esalen grounds, including meals, for the duration of the summit.
